For more than a century, the Sacramento SPCA has been dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of animals in the Sacramento area.
The SPCA provides a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes. Through proactive intervention, public education and community outreach, the organization seeks to promote respect for all life by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community.
Every year, the Sacramento SPCA takes in more than 11,000 homeless animals and gives them food, shelter, veterinary care and most of all-love.
In addition to adoption services, the Sacramento SPCA operates one of Northern California's largest affordable, high-quality spay/neuter clinics, as well as low-cost vaccination clinics, a pet food bank for families in financial distress, education for youth, dog training and behavior classes, and a variety of services for seniors.
These accomplishments happen without government funding. The Sacramento SPCA is a local, independent nonprofit organization and is supported through private contributions and grant funding. Only you can provide a brighter future for Sacramento's pets in need.

The Lasher Auto Group has been a Sacramento institution since 1955, when Wes Lasher opened his first downtown dealership. The dealership grew quickly through a combination of great prices and exceptional customer service. Over the decades, the Lashers have expanded, and currently include the Audi, Volkswagen, Acura, Subaru and Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram SRT brands, as well as award-winning parts and service departments. Their history of success has been, and always will be, based on a foundational belief in treating customers with the utmost respect.
Over the years, the Lasher family has been involved in giving back to the communities they serve. With a great love of animals, the family is now partnering with the Sacramento SPCA to support their mission of helping thousands of animals who have fallen victim to these difficult economic times.
Research has shown the benefits of pet companionship, especially among the elderly. The Sacramento SPCA's educational efforts help the community have better relationships with their pets, and bring the gift of love into the hearts and souls of people in need.
